YKAA, founded by Atsuki Yamazaki and Maryana Kovalchuk in 2022, is an art and architectural atelier based in Sapporo, Japan, and available worldwide. With experience in both Japanese and international environments, we strive to create a unique architectural value beyond existing ideas and conventions. We strive to bring a humanistic approach to our practice with a deep understanding of people’s needs and an appreciation for local craftsmanship.

Atsuki Yamazaki
1989年北海道生まれ。北海道札幌西高等学校卒、
北海学園大学工学部建築学科、
北海学園大学工学研究課建設工学専攻 修士課程を2016年に修了。
2022年〜一級建築士事務所YKAAを設立。

Born in Hokkaido in 1989. In 2016, graduated from Sapporo Nishi High School in Hokkaido, completed a master’s degree in architecture from Hokkai Gakuen University's Faculty of Engineering, and majored in construction engineering at Hokkai Gakuen University's Engineering Research Division.
In 2022 he aacquired 1st-Class architect registration and established YKAA.
マリアナ・コワリュチュク
Maryana Kovalchuk
1990年ウクライナ生まれ、ポルトガル育ち。
FAUPポルト大学建築学部 修士課程 を2015年に修了。
2016年に北京の Chiasmus Partners での建築インターン (6ヶ月)。
2022年〜一級建築士事務所YKAAを設立。
Architect ・Creative Director
Graduated from FAUP University of Porto, Faculty of Architecture, with a master’s degree in architecture and an exchange year in Politecnico di Milano, year 2015. In 2016, she interned at Chiasmus Partners in Beijing for six months.
In 2022 she founded YKAA.
