前面道路からの騒音の遮断やプライバシーを守るため、緩衝空間としての外部テラスを設ける。

各機能である水廻りや寝室などは壁によって区切り、開口部によって関係付けられるように操作した。

これらの開口部は外と外、外と内、内と内という各段階に於いて境界を再構築する。

ランダムに見える開口部は、光や風の入り方、周辺建物の配置等の「外部環境」と、高さや視線等の関係やプライバシーの

密度による、見える-見えない等の視線を操作するような「内部環境」を等価に扱うことで入念に決定された。

外部から内部あるいは内部から外部に連続した開口は、内外のレイヤーを横断する意識を芽生えさせる。

これにより、住まい手である主体が気持ちの良い居場所を自らが選び取っていけるのではないだろうか。

シンプルで閉じられたボリュームに開口操作するだけで内外の関係性を多重化し、人間や動物にとって本能的に

快適と思える居場所を作ることを目指した。

The external terrace serves a crucial role as a buffer space, effectively shielding the interior from the noise of the adjacent road and ensuring privacy.

Each function, such as the bathroom and bedroom, is separated by walls and connected by openings.

These openings reconstruct the boundaries at each stage: outside and outside, outside and inside, and inside and inside.

The seemingly random placement of the openings is, in fact, a result of meticulous planning. Each opening was carefully positioned to balance external environment factors, such as light, and internal environment considerations, like privacy and line of sight.

The openings that traverse from the interior to the exterior, or vice versa, are not just architectural features. They are designed to foster an awareness of the layers of inside and outside, enhancing the occupants' connection to their environment.

This allows the occupants to choose a comfortable place for themselves.

By simply manipulating the openings in a simple, closed volume, we aimed to create a place that humans and animals instinctively find comfortable, striking a harmonious balance between the inside and outside.
